We selected Swallowtail for a one week trip to Bouthan this summer. From the pick-up at the airport to the emotional goodbye one week later, everything turned out to be just perfect. Not too fast, not too slow, our wonderfull guide Yeshi and driver Gmee formed a perfect pair to accomodate all our needs and answer all our questions. Bhutan will remain as one of the most beautiful places I've never visited and believe me I have been travelling a lot. On top of all the fantastic temples and landscapes, I certainly learned a lot about the country culture and spirit. I will always keep this tavel as secret treasure in my memories.

We left our hearts in this incredible country.
Our trip to Bhutan was one we will never forget, our guide Lobsang made my husband and I feel welcome from the start. We first went to the Rinpung DZong, he showed us around and answered our many questions about his beautiful country. We hiked to the Tigers Nest which was just stunning, again our guide was very well informed and also ensured that we knew the customs prior to going into the Monastery. Next part of our trip with Swallowtail was a four day trek. We did the Druk Path Trail, this was an incredible experience, so much to see, yaks, hawks, old glaciers, so many birds and the blue poppy, incredible and ever changing scenery. Our guide Lobsang explained so much as we went along the trail, he was patient and always made sure we were ok with the altitude. The food provided was really great, cooked fresh on the day, the cook and his assistant were lovely and friendly, our horseman was a funny and very humble countryman with a big smile. It was just my husband and I on the trek, the staff ensured we were well looked after, but also made sure that we had time to ourselves. The experience really was made by the staff of Swallowtail, Lobsang became not only our guide but a friend, we were both really sad to say goodbye. This is such a truly incredible and moving experience, we will be back next year to do a 7 day trek with Lobsang and Swallotail. I would suggest that if you decide to visit this truly beautiful country, ask for him and go through Swallowtail. They treat you individually, such personal service is very hard to come by. Rob and I changed our trip a bit here and there and Swallowtail were able to accommodate our needs straight away, getting us visa's to go to Punakha which was a highlight. The hotel we stayed in there was truly stunning , the Hotel Lobesa, we will get back there for sure, the staff there were just lovely and the owner made us feel like old friends. The honesty and generosity of the Druk people I cannot even begin to explain. It's in their lives daily, as Buddhist there is a peacefulness that is everywhere. Loved Bhutan.

We booked a two night stay in Bhutan with Swallowtail Tours. Super friendly and helpful tour guide who we highly recommend- Kinley. Part of our tour was the hike up to Tiger's Nest. We had our 6 month old daughter with us and Kinley was very patient and understanding as we had to take our time and adjust our schedule according to our daughter's needs. It was also so nice to meet Ms Tashi Wangmo in person who helped us from the beginning with our booking and was very accommodating when we had to make changes to the itinerary because of our daughter. We are so pleased with their services would recommend them to anyone looking to travel to Bhutan. It is an amazing place to visit- the cleanest air and most beautiful natural sights!

Bhutan Swallow Tours are a great company, that I'd definitely recommend. We had a professional driver, that made us feel safe on the treacherous mountain roads.

I used the services of Bhutan Swallowtail, owned by Sonam and tashi, on my recent trip to Bhutan, and cannot praise them enough for the excellent and professional service they have provided. Their prices were also very competitive, and it all came with very friendly service and a personal touch. I highly recommend them.
